Part 6: Inbox Anxiety & the Mystery of Joe.MamaMary1927
In this episode, I reach peak “Catholic girl spiral” as I stare down an email that might—just might—be from Joseph Castillo. I imagine every possible scenario, from him being married with ten kids… to him asking for his handkerchief back (and offering me tissues instead). 🙃
With a little help from my sister, a late-night confession, and way too much overthinking, I finally open the email—and let’s just say, it wasn’t at all what I expected. Could this be the beginning of something… or just another twist in my not-yet-true love story?

Part 5: Hanky Man or Hanky Daddy?
In this episode, I finally see JC again... but he’s not alone. A sweet little girl in polka dots has my brain spiraling—is she his daughter? Is he married? Or am I just being dramatically single again?
I process it all over lunch duty with my mom and Maryssa, who are more than ready to launch a full investigation. Just when I think I’ve overthought everything… a mysterious email shows up from joe.mamamary1927@gmail.com—and let’s just say, this plot is thickening faster than my adoration tears.

Part 4: JC, Sign-In Sheets & the Sacred Spiral
In this episode, I dive into the aftermath of the chapel mystery—yes, that JC.A name on a sign-in sheet sends my imagination into holy overdrive, and suddenly I’m journaling prayers, dodging group chat questions, and wondering if Jesus might be sneaking in a little romance plot twist.
Is this divine timing or delusional wishful thinking? I honestly don’t know. But I do know that when it comes to chapel crushes, things get real fast… and a little too real when I see the name JC pop up again—this time in a text.
Because sometimes the signs are subtle... and sometimes they’re spelled out on a Friday adoration schedule.

Part 3: The Handkerchief Man, ten million questions, and God’s Timing ⏳I might be overthinking one small chapel moment... or I might be living the start of a holy rom-com. 🤷♀️Join me as I process mystery men, hopeful prayers, and how hard it is to wait when everyone keeps saying, “in God’s time.”.

In Part 2 of How I Found My Husband: A Chapel Romance, the story continues in the car ride home, where my mom immediately senses that something big happened in adoration.
Between her nosy-but-loving questions and my emotional honesty, I try to explain what it feels like to cry about singleness (again), wonder about mystery men (again), and still trust that Jesus sees me, even when it feels like everyone else doesn’t.
We talk handkerchiefs, holy timing, and how sometimes the only romantic lead showing up is… my mom.
But later, I pull out my journal and
I read the list.
Not a fantasy list, but a prayer. A real one. For the kind of man I believe God could send… if I stop pretending I don’t want him.
Stay tuned for Part 3 - where my friends find out everything, and I try to keep a mystery man from becoming a group chat headline.

Today, I’m sharing a story I made up… but one that’s close to my heart.
How I Found My Husband is a fictional story I wrote to explore my creativity, let my imagination breathe, and find a little hope and humor in my season of singleness.
Nope—I haven’t met “the one” (yet 😉), but this story let me process the longing, the waiting, and the beauty of dreaming with God. It’s part rom-com, part reflection, and totally made up… but it carries the real emotions of what it means to hope, pray, and wonder.
So grab a cup of tea, settle in, and join me in this chapel romance that might not be true—but is truly heartfelt. 💌✨

Hey friends, it’s Nellani, and welcome back to Getting PersoNell with Christ. In today’s episode, we’re talking about something we all need but often resist—rest. Jesus tells His disciples in Mark 6:31, “Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” If even the disciples needed time to recharge, how much more do we? Whether you're burnt out, overwhelmed, or just tired of the noise, this episode is your reminder that rest isn't laziness—it's holy. Let’s unpack how to step away, reconnect with God, and find peace in the pause.

In this special anniversary episode of Getting PersoNell with Christ, I’m joined by two very important women in my life, my mom and my godmother, to celebrate Adore: The Eucharistic Revival Musical Production turning one year old!
We look back on the heart behind the musical, share personal reflections on the true stories woven into the show, and talk about what it was like for them to see pieces of our family’s journey come to life on stage. We also dream a little about what’s next for Adore and how this story of healing, hope, and the Eucharist might continue to inspire others.
Whether you’ve seen the musical or are just hearing about it now, this episode is full of love, laughter, and a whole lot of heart.

Hey friends, it’s Nellani—aka Nell—and welcome back to Getting PersoNell with Christ! This week’s Random Thought of Faith is a wild one: What if God had billions of screens in heaven, each tuned into our lives like divine vlogs? 📺✨
In this episode, I open up about wanting to start vlogging (gulp 😬) and how it led me to reflect on Psalm 139 and the comforting truth that God knows every part of our story—our highs, our lows, and even our messy rooms. Imagine saints leaving encouraging comments, angels hosting viewing parties, and God hitting that “block” button on the enemy. 🙌
Whether you feel seen or invisible, know this: God is your first subscriber, your biggest fan, and He never skips your story. This week, I challenge us both—what’s one thing you can do today that would make God “like” your vlog?
